Guide your children to do housework
Assalamualaikum Semua,
Today I would like to share on the best way to treat my heart.
Hi I am a mother of 3. One girl & two boys.
They are now age 19, 16 &13.
Girls or Boys,, they must know how to do housework.i.e the basic:-
1) Making up their bed
2) Sweeping or vacuuming the floor
3) Cleaning the toilet
4) Clean all the utensils they use in the kitchen
5) Managing their own clothes (washing, drying & ironing)
6) Take away the rubbish to the dustbin
7) Cleaning cat's waste (he got indoor cat)
At their age they must know that they live with responsibilities.
They must know that if they make a mess, they have to clean it. If they don't try to do fine system) no hp or no pocket money.
It's not easy to teach them to be responsible, but in shaa Allah, Allah will help me through the journey. Keep praying.
Firstnya when they wake up remind them to make their bed (haha sometimes they do, sometimes not,, they are not perfect..so do i. But you need to keep reminding for them to become a habit.
To me the best way to clean the toilet is after shower, when they go to shower, i remind them to clean the toilet, Life as a mother is always be a reminder. Or else you will suffer haha.
Same goes to kitchen utensils, after using remind them to clean, or else no food on the table. I better not cooking if they don't know how to clean it. Sometimes i feel pity but i think this is the way to teach them. For them to have a lesson learnt.
The clothes is no longer my responsibilities, They must wash & take care of their clothes on their own. Same goes to ironing. I bought a good iron of course philips by amway & they have to iron on their own, Or else you just wear the shirt just the way it is... I want them to know that they have to be responsible & not yelling at you when they coudn;t find their shirt. They must know where is their clothes because they are the one who wash it.
For rubbish you can make a duty roster, Easier & fair to everyone.
This attitude starts from home eventhough sometimes they don't want to follow, but i keep hoping someday they become a responsible man & women.
It requires a hard work, a reminder everyday but you know they can manage it. I hope cleanliness & responsibility will teach them to be a better person in future.
Keep praying in shaa Allah. Happy New Year 2019,
